Gregory S. Keller, MD, FACS - Santa Barbara - Los Angeles contributions include two textbooks and over 25 medical peer-reviewed articles in facial aesthetic surgery and laser technologies. As a singular contribution, Dr. Keller is the inventor of endoscopic facial plastic surgery and holds three patents for these techniques. He has also published a textbook entitled Endoscopic Facial Plastic Surgery.
An excellent and meticulous surgical technician, Dr. Keller is the Co-Director of the Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at UCLA. He has taught face-lift techniques to twelve UCLA post-graduate fellows and numerous residents, who are now in private practices and teaching universities throughout the United States. He has received the teaching award in Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA.
Dr. Keller is widely recognized for the excellence of his work. He has discussed his techniques and innovations on Good Morning America, Discovery Health, KABC, the Wellness Hour, Extra, “E”, and others, to name a few. His patients include many well-known actors and actresses, studio heads, corporate executives, billionaires, inventors, authors, and other personalities. Dr. Keller is on the editorial board and has been the New Technologies Editor for the AMA Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery. He has shared his knowledge with peers as an invited speaker and visiting professor at universities and society meetings in the US, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Korea, France, Britain, and Spain.
Facial plastic surgery holds a unique place in Dr. Keller's personal life. While pursuing a career in cardio-vascular surgery at the University of Illinois Medical School, Dr. Keller was in a very serious car accident. He sustained severe injuries and trauma to his nose, eyes, cheeks and jaw and had to undergo extensive facial reconstructive surgery. While recuperating, Dr. Keller decided to change his medical direction and pursue a career as a facial plastic surgeon. Because of Dr. Keller's first-hand experience, he is very sensitive to the needs and concerns of his patients having been one himself.
